Maksim Vorobyev was born in Krasnoyarsk. Later he
moved to Moscow to study international economic relations. Actually, entering
Moscow State University of International Relations was his first step on the
way to success.
The first steps
Being a
student, Maksim Vorobyev decided to
try working as a sales manager in "Russian
sea group" He chose this company for a reason: the SEO of this
enterprise was his brother AndreyVorobyev, who owned 60% of the shares. During
the last year at the university he combined study and work. A little later he
became the top manager at the fish factory. When his brother went to politics, Maksim Vorobyev bought his ratio and
became the owner of the group of companies "Russian Sea". Since 2006 he was the CEO, and in 2007 he became
the chairman of the board.
In 2006 Maksim Vorobyev graduated from Spanish
School of Business and became a qualified specialist in the sphere of stock
shares. Apart from his main enterprise, he actively participated in banking
business. In addition, he is the member of the supervisory council of the
Public Limited Company "Saint-Petersburg".
"Russian sea" group
When the
company changed the owner, the business was constantly improving, and the
income increased. Once a Norwegian company became interested in "Russian sea" and decided to buy
20% of the shares, but Maksim Vorobyev
refused to sign the project, as he considered it to be unprofitable.
Despite the growing success of the company, it couldn’t overcome the financial crisis on its own. The debt was so huge that nobody saw the way out. However, a famous businessman GennadiyTimchenko saved the enterprise: his investment fund Volga Resources bought 30.5% of shares and "Russian sea" got the possibility to work at the new level.
The Activity of
"Russian aquaculture"
When in 2009 the enterprise faced the crisis, Maksim Vorobyev decided to unite his business with the business of
GennadiyTimchenko, another successful businessman. After that the company started
developing rapidly.
“Russian sea group”consists of 3
companies, each of them works with a particular aspect of fish production and
distribution. Recently the company has changed the name and became
"Russian aquaculture". The company is planning to work not only with
fish and seafood, but with other sea organisms.
